Under the ire of my eye
The gently flowing water has a California cry
I take to the Atlantic and because of my own lie
The ocean has in store for me a sigh
The evergreens they twist
And twirl above the land
Exactly their identities I cannot comprehend
The ocean breathes inside of me and laps up all my thoughts
The icicles drip onto me and untie all my knots
The water whispers prayers to some transparent liquid God
And nothing I can say to you will save you from the rot
Running idealistically
From everything above zero degrees
A tiny little man who shivers, begging on his knees,
"Can there be a new universe for me?"
